Alternative net design

The second area of activities in the dollyropefree project is on improvements in the design of the cod-end to prevent it from dragging along the seafloor. Together with industrial designers, fishermen and other experts, alternative net designs have been looked into and are currently being further developed in Germany by Thünen Institut.
